Citizen's Advocacy Potluck Dinner

It’s Teri writing for Howard…

On May 7, I attended the annual Citizen’s Advocacy potluck dinner with Teri Schell. Teri had invited me to a dinner a few weeks beforehand and then I had been invited by Susan Earl and others at Candler SOURCE to the Citizen’s Advocacy dinner. When Teri picked me up for the dinner, I hadn’t realized that where she was taking me was the same place that SOURCE had invited me. I had attended many Citizens Advocacy dinners over the years but didn’t want to break my word to Teri. I told Teri that I would go with her for a little while, then I’d like to be dropped off somewhere else. I was so surprised when Teri took me to the same dinner! We had a big laugh over that!

I saw many old friends there and made some new ones, too! There was so much food and the table decorations were lovely. SOAP played music and inspirational stories were shared. Savannah Magazine was there taking pictures – a fun night was had by all. I hope you will be able to attend next years Citizen Advocacy dinner.

The picure above is of me and a friend from Candler SOURCE. Follow the link below to the Savannah Magazine City Seen page -- you'll have to click on the Citizen Advocacy link to get to pictures. I know many of the people in the pictures and there's a good picture of me and Teri on page 3!
