Presidential Primary Election

Teri from Union Mission is helping me write this post. Next Tuesday is the Presidential Primary Election in Georgia. I would like to support and urge you to vote for Hillary Clinton. I support Clinton because I agree with her on issues like Health Care, ending the war in Iraq, caring for our children, strengthening democracy, and reforming our immigration system. Take a look at this website http://www.hillaryhub.com/ to find out more about issues she supports. I am most interested in what she has to say about children because I am concerned about the children in Savannah who are at-risk for so many problems.

I especially agree with her support of this issue: "Providing meaningful support to households, called "kinship care" families, where grandparents and other relatives are raising children." I see these types of families a lot and know that they deserve some help, too.

I also agree with her on this issue: "Protecting children against violence and sexual content in the media." I think that children see too much violence on television and in movies. I think that this leads to our youth acting out what they see in the media.

Lastly, I think her stance on this issue is important: "Advocating for adoption and for abused and neglected children -- as First Lady, Hillary pushed legislation that more than doubled adoptions out of foster care." Every child needs a good home.

I think Hillary Clinton is a great lady and I hope that she wins. I give her a thumbs-up!
