Silence

This week, I had a really bad experience when my voice machine that I use to talk with would not work! It would not even turn on! Sometimes, you don't realize how much you count on something until it is gone.
I was really upset. I was so upset that I was ready to quit my volunteer job because I felt I could not really talk to people anymore. I felt powerless.
As I was thinking all of this, my machine came on! It worked for a few days but quit again on me today.
So, tomorrow it is being shipped off for repairs to Pittsburgh. Thanks to you, Bridget and David, for helping me get my machine repaired. It is really a life line for me.

For all of my readers, please pray for all of those with disabilities of any kind who count on machines and the help of others to get through the day! I know I will be praying, too!

  1. HOWARD,
I WAS ONE OF THE KIDS WHO SPENT THE PREVIOUS WEEK WITH YOU. I REALLY ENJOYED GETTING TO KNOW YOU! YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO SO MANY PEOPLE! I REALLY AM SAD TO HEAR THAT YOU WILL BE GOING WITHOUT YOUR MACHINE FOR A WHILE! I KNOW THAT GOD HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE MACHINE BEING TEMPORARILY FIXED ON TUESDAY! HE WANTED YOU TO SHARE YOU INSPIRING STORY WITH ALL OF THE YOUTHWORKS KIDS! I AM SO GLAD THAT I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE IN THE GROUP THAT GOT TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME WITH YOU! HOPEFULLY YOUR MACHINE WILL BE FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! GOD BLESS YOU!
